Point of Sale/POS Install

Just finished up configuring a Point of Sale - POS system for a new Bar and Grill in the area.

They had the following hardware:

  • A 40 item menu plus drinks and condiments
  • A bar station with a PC, receipt printer, and a cash drawer
  • A server station with a PC and receipt printer
  • A kitchen slip printer

They called on a Wednesday and I configured the menu on Thursday afternoon. They opened on Friday and I trained the staff, added a few missing items, and helped trouble-shoot any problems since we didn't have time to fully stress the system before opening. I stayed until closing and showed them how to settle the credit cards and get reporting for the day. I came back on Saturday afternoon and wrapped up the installation by printing out some quick lists for them, showing the manager and owner how to perform serveral tasks like adding items and modifiers, and how to back up the database. I called to check in on Sunday and Saturday night went without an issue.
